Directions and local maps can be found here. Also included is a map of the Capitol grounds, indicating location of entry areas for the public.
Please allow extra time for parking as the Capitol grounds and access have changed due to construction!
A large parking garage is located on the east side of the Capitol Annex (the office building directly behind the Capitol).
Vehicles can access the garage via Old Lawrenceburg Road or Capitol Ave. However, the Capitol Ave. route will require vehicles to navigate around the rear of the Annex and past a large construction zone on the east side of the building. Please drive slowly and watch for signs, construction vehicles, and personnel.
The surface lot of the garage provides public parking, and several ADA spaces are located in the row closest to the Annex. Levels 4-6 also provide parking for the public, and Levels 4 and 5 offer ADA accessible parking near the elevators. Level 2 and half of Level 3 are reserved for vehicles with permits. Vehicles can travel between levels using the one-way ramps on each end of the garage.
Please note that several ADA spaces that were once located directly adjacent to the east wall of the Annex are no longer available due to construction.
A small lot on the west side of the Capitol offers a few ADA accessible spaces and some public parking, but otherwise the lot is reserved for employees.
The road between the Capitol and Capitol Annex is permanently closed to traffic.

Once in the Capitol Parking Garage
Lock your vehicle. Take a photo of your location so you'll remember it. Take the parking garage elevator UP to Level 1 (Level 6 is the bottom level of the garage).
Upon exiting the elevator on Level 1, proceed straight ahead through the glass doors to the outside parking lot. The Capitol Annex is ahead of you - be aware that construction is underway for between the elevator & the Capitol Anne. The Capitol building is slightly to your right. Go to the FRONT of the capitol, which is marked as a visitor entrance.
Patience! Remember that many other groups visit the capitol. The entrance area may have long lines. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to wait. For inclement weather, you WILL need an umbrella.
You must have a valid photo ID. You will need to sign in, at which point your photograph will be made. Indicate on the sign in sheet that you are attending KSU's Green and Gold Day.
Once in the Capitol, turn left, go up the stairs to the second floor. You'll see lots of green and gold, along with some great food and KSU items.
